The Mix invites listeners on a sonic journey through unexpected blends and combinations of pop and rock music from the last 50 years. Hosted by radio veteran, Keith Weston, the weekly one-hour program is created in his home studio in Carrboro, North Carolina.
“I’m seeking to mix the towering icons and heroes that still are a part of classic rock today with lesser-known new artists, forgotten pioneers, and music that’s simply thoughtful, surprising, and inspiring. I think of The Mix as an updating of the old ‘progressive radio’ format popular on FM radio in the US back in the late 1960s and early ’70s. I like to find interesting connections in the music and share it with thirsty listeners.”
The program is designed to be both a rewarding adventure for the listener who listens closely or to provide an excellent backdrop for any activity. Playing much more than just the hits, hear The Mix weekly on Global 24.
